‘Our Work - Our Music’ was the theme of our 2008 and 2009 exchanges.

The young Scots and Zambians shared music, dance and drama that reflected their traditional industries. They sang in English, Gaelic, Nyanja and Bemba and the learned each others traditional dances.

Learning about traditional industries took us to Ormsary Home Farm and fish farm, fish processing plants in Tarbert, Loch Fyne and in in Barra, and in Zambia we visited copper mines, coffee and sugar plantations and learned how Zambians fish and smoke their catches (just like the west of Scotland).
